* To support in the organisation and delivery of successful interviews by liaising with relevant parties to provide accurate information to applicants and compliance with equality and safeguarding guidelines, effective communication to prospective candidates to ensure a professional representation of the school. * To work with the HR Officer to ensure an effective recruitment process is followed to include: * Ensuring all vacancies are advertised with the required safeguarding statements. * Receiving and logging application forms, liaising with the hiring managers. * Taking a lead on recruitment days ensuring it runs smoothly for both the candidate and hiring managers. * To take the lead on Safer Recruitment processes for new starters to include: * Completing all pre-employment checks such as references, DBS, online searches, medical questionnaires etc. * Ensuring all offer letters and contracts are issued on the same day (or day after) of offer to create a good candidate experience. * To work with hiring managers with new staff inductions, ensuring all required training is completed and logged. * Line management responsibility of the HR Officer and HR Apprentice. * To ensure all HR processes are completed accurately, to include leavers, contract changes, maternity, paternity and probations. * To work closely with the Finance department to process payroll on a monthly basis. * Oversee all annual staff returns to ensure they are collated and returned, as required. * Maintain accurate records for staff attendance and monitor requests for holidays and other absences. * Administer appointment letters, new starter paperwork and contracts of employment. * Produce letters for internal changes such as contractual changes, probationary confirmation, leavers and salary reviews. * Manage the incredibly busy HR inbox, flagging specific queries to members of the HR team as appropriate. * Respond to general HR queries by phone, email, post and in person in a timely and efficient manner. * To produce data analysis and reports as required. * Assisting in the resolution of employee queries and concerns. * To monitor and process fixed term contracts, staff changes, and staff leaving documentation and arrange exit interviews. * Provide supporting advice to managers on first line HR queries (e.g. recruitment, maternity leave, and special leave), referring less straightforward matters to the HR Director.
What you\'ll need to succeed
* Proven HR generalist experience with in a busy HR department. * Good Employment Law knowledge. * Extremely high detailed approach, working with detailed information in a thorough and attentive manner. * Able to work persistently until they complete a task and thrive in a structured work environment. * Conscientious and values high standards in their work and the work of others. * Comfortable adhering to rules and regulations as required by education HR compliance. * Focusses on quality and will invest effort in improving their work. * Exceptionally self-motivated, reliable and with integrity. * A positive approach. * An efficient and effective administrator, with strong organisational and personal management skills. * The capacity to work hard and perform well under pressure, to meet deadlines and manage time effectively. * Strong ICT, numeracy and literacy skills.
