Do you talk to machines in a way that makes your colleagues question your sanity? Well, we need you We're on the hunt for an Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Scunthorpe. Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to keep our machines running, prevent breakdowns like a maintenance superhero, and perform some top-notch PLC fault-finding. Responsibilities; Supporting our Operations team by solving technical mysteries faster than Sherlock Holmes. Working towards a zero-breakdown utopia—because downtime is the enemy Reducing maintenance costs (no, we’re not asking you to fix things with duct tape). Owning your workspace like a boss and keeping an eye on those pesky maintenance KPIs. Root-cause analysis—aka figuring out why the machines are being dramatic. Bringing your A-game to process, safety, and technology improvements. Diagnosing PLC faults like a tech wizard. Requirements; A fully qualified Electrical Engineer with valid IEE regulations (bonus points if you've had it for over a year). Time-served Electrician with NVQ Level 3 (no apprentices still learning which way to hold a screwdriver, please). Experience in a similar industrial electrical role—because this isn’t your average home DIY job. A decent understanding of PLC systems (if you can talk to them in binary, even better).
