In their latest survey, 95% of employees said they were proud to work there. The Role Our client is looking for a People & Culture superstar to join their growing team. This is a newly created role to directly address centralising all people operations into one place, and to have someone really champion their culture and lead from the front in terms of giving their people a fantastic employee experience. The role is split into two areas, that our client need you to be brilliant at: People Operations: coordinating administration and giving advisory to both employees and line managers, across the full employee lifecycle. Culture Champion: key member of our client's Ministry of Magic and at the forefront when thinking about how and when our client brings people together. Responsibilities Deliver a full range of People and Culture advisory and support services to entire team Manage HiBob, our client's HR Information System (HRIS) ensuring employee amendments are updated, and accuracy of information recorded Lead and own onboarding excellence from the point of offer through to welcome, induction, and probation review procedure Provide advice and guidance on policies, procedures, and contracts Advise and support line managers on matters relating to sickness absence and other instances of medical leave Handle and process queries relating to annual leave, maternity leave, paternity leave, compassionate leave etc Generate letters to accompany staff changes and save in their staff files Carry out exit interviews, record outcomes and highlight areas of concern Manage the monthly payroll changes process by identifying changes to be made, liaising with managers to input data correctly and forwarding this to the Finance team for action In partnership with the People & Culture Director, issue regular employee engagement/pulse survey and analyse results before putting together a recommended action and communications plan Contribute to company initiatives on employee engagement and to actively promote the Companys vision and culture Be a key member of the Ministry of Magic a team of employees who plan events and initiatives around values to recognise the moments that matter Collaborate with the Office Manager & EA to the CEO in coordinating people recognition initiatives Support hiring managers in recruitment administration by posting adverts, shortlisting CVs for them to review and when necessary, supporting by scheduling interviews between the candidates and hiring managers Oversee the onboarding of all new employees and to oversee associated administration and ensure all new contracts of employment are issued in a timely and professional manner Ensure all administrative documentation and processes are accurate, effective and present a professional image of the organisation and the People and Culture function Provide line managers with basic employee data and information for reporting purposes Produce reports on starters, leavers, sickness absence and other related HR data metrics monthly, quarterly and annually Utilise HR reporting information to make appropriate recommendations to line managers on performance management Ensure compliance with company values and behaviours Make a positive contribution to the continuous improvement of People and Culture ways of working and to be a collaborative team member The Candidate You are someone who has worked in a HR or People & Culture role previously, ideally in a small team where youve operated as a real generalist, getting involved in more than just the back-office stuff. Youre someone who loves looking for opportunities to improve the employee experience, with an ability to put yourself in someone elses shoes and ask whether our client could be making things clearer, better, or more interesting. Ideally, youve got good experience in using a HRIS and using collaborative tools or platforms to get work done. Ideally qualified in HR or studying to become so Knowledge of HR principles and practices Strong organisational and multitasking abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office Suite Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Somebody with high levels of empathy who always puts themselves in the shoes of the employee when designing better ways of working Exceptional attention to detail A natural communicator with a disarming style The Terms This role is being offered at a minimum of 4 days (or equiv) up to full-time basis with flexibility on location with only 2/3 days required in the Milton Keynes office. A salary of up to £45K FTE is available along with benefits and share options.
