We are looking for a Head of Compliance to join our Building Services team in Watford.
The purpose of the role is to drive the effective management and governance across the OU for all statutory, mandatory and contractual compliance, alongside best practice of compliance engineering and OWOW system processes. Oversee business accreditations, and the management, development and implementation of continuous improvement, leading quality assurance and ensuring a ‘right first time’ culture.
What you'll do:
* Lead Strategic Initiatives: Develop and advocate for comprehensive OU/Sector compliance and quality strategies based on a strong evidence base, and coherent actions.
* Deliver Strategic Insights: Ensure accurate reporting of quality metrics, providing strategic insights through comprehensive monthly reports to Leadership and Management Teams.
* Drive Compliance and Continual Improvement: Lead the performance improvement of compliance across the OU/Sector in accordance with our Integrated Management System, promoting a culture of continual improvement within the OU. Review and update OWOW process and procedure as appropriate.
* Drive Digital Assurance Programmes: Spearhead the implementation of the OU digital assurance initiatives, ensuring the integration of advanced digital quality assurance systems (Quality risk management, Quality planning, Inspection and Test Plans).
* Lead Assurance Programmes: Oversee and lead the internal quality and compliance assurance programmes.
* Compliance and Quality Audits: Provide internal schedule of compliance audits of all FM and MEP projects, and act as a key point of contact for both internal and external audits or assessments, supporting the closure of internally and externally raised audit findings.
* Empower Operational Excellence: Guide operational teams in adopting best practices for Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), fostering a proactive approach to monitoring and education.
* Drive Improvement: Undertake engineering performance and compliance reviews and recommend solutions for improvement. Review/approve Scope of Works.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Experience of leading a quality and compliance strategy and management at the required level.
* Ability to translate strategy into specific objectives and actions plans and delivery against them.
* Experience of relevant sector in construction and facilities management.
* Engineering experience either of Electrical or Mechanical Background.
