At Tata Steel, we are looking for a Temporary Works Coordinator to oversee the planning, execution, and compliance of temporary works activities across our construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in delivering safe, high-quality, and well-managed temporary works solutions within a complex industrial setting. What you will do The Temporary Works Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, approving, and monitoring all temporary works on-site. You will ensure compliance with CDM regulations, engineering standards, and best practices, working closely with project teams, contractors, and external specialists. You will develop and implement temporary works designs, manage risk assessments, and oversee inspections to ensure structural integrity and safety at all times. Your role will also involve liaising with engineers and site managers to integrate temporary works into wider project plans, ensuring smooth and efficient execution. By providing expert guidance, you will help maintain a strong safety culture and ensure that temporary works meet legal, technical, and operational requirements. What you will need We are looking for a qualified and experienced temporary works professional with strong knowledge of construction engineering, temporary works design, and site management. Ideally you should have a degree or HNC in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline, along with experience coordinating temporary works in large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects. A deep understanding of CDM regulations (BS5975 Temporary works), risk management, and construction health and safety is essential. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills will be key to managing multiple stakeholders and ensuring the successful delivery of temporary works.
