We're looking for a fire engineer or senior fire engineer to join our Glasgow office and help lead our growing team.
Main Duties
* Delivery and management of fire engineering projects.
* Fire risk assessments to a wide range of structures and risk groups.
* Presentation of findings, reports and workshops.
* Working individually and part of a team to win or deliver projects.
* Preparation and delivery of fire safety training courses.
* Deliver fire safety design projects.
* Outward facing role working directly with clients to fulfil their needs.
* Communicate and promote core values throughout the company.
* Ensure projects are suitably invoiced.
* Promote and ensure technical excellence.
* Attend client meetings and provide fee proposals as required.
* Responsible for the promotion of quality throughout the company.
* Provide technical guidance and provide advice for clients as appropriate.
* Provide technical advice to employees and associates of the company.
* Represent the company on technical and policy steering groups/committees.
* Engage with marketing initiatives and attend promotional events.
* Provision of quality assurance and peer review services for company employees and associates/support ISO 9001.2015 compliance.
What we ask for
* BEng/BSc degree for 5 years.
* AIFireE/FRM Accreditation.
* Accredited with an appropriate 3rd party review scheme.
* IEng/application in process.
* Typically 3+ years' experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
* Extensive knowledge and experience of UK fire safety legislation and standards.
* Extensive experience delivering fire engineered solutions for UK-based projects.
* Clear understanding of the total fire concept - from client brief through to construction and operation.
* Development and implementation of fire strategies, projects and research initiatives.
* Ability to work under pressure and deliver maximum results.
* Possess excellent report writing and communication skills - be collaborative, creative and engaging.
* Ability to multi-task. You will be required to work on multiple projects concurrently, working to tight deadlines and juggling multiple demands.
* Proven ability to work remotely both individually and as part of a team.
* Proven ability to develop a network of clients and colleagues at PartB and outside the company.
* Understand and manage the scope and relevant programme constraints of projects.
* Flexible and adaptable during company growth.
