Macildowie Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for the position of HR and Admin Assistant on behalf of our client in Milton Keynes. This temporary role is perfect for a detail-oriented and highly organised professional with previous experience in HR.
Key Responsibilities:
As an HR Assistant, you will support the HR Manager in delivering effective administrative and HR services across the trust. Your responsibilities will include:
* Recruitment and Onboarding: Assisting with job descriptions, advertising vacancies, preparing for interviews, and processing new hires (DBS checks, references, contracts, and occupational health referrals).
* HR Administration: Maintaining HR and personnel records, managing terminations, promotions, and transfers, and ensuring accurate payroll and salary calculations.
* Compliance: Keeping employee databases (e.g., SIMS) up-to-date, managing the Single Central Record, and ensuring compliance with current legislation and policies.
* Employee Support: Addressing payroll, contract, and HMRC queries, maintaining staff training records, and liaising with HR, pension, and payroll providers.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar HR administrative role, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. Familiarity with HR systems and databases would be an advantage.
