GTC, who are part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for a Lead Gas Network Engineer who would like to help us reach our mission of ‘making lasting connections with our customers to improve their lives’.
As the Lead Gas Network Engineer, your key responsibilities are:
* Ensure gas assets are maintained and operated in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Undertake audits, site inspections, and provide technical advice on a range of distribution assets.
* Proactively deal with hazards and risks identified by contractors and delivery partners.
* Evaluate and assess complex engineering solutions to network challenges.
* Oversee contractors, delivery partners, and direct staff undertaking work on assigned projects.
* Ensure the fitness for purpose, calibration, and issue of operational equipment.
* Undertake activities to support ongoing maintenance of company accreditations.
* Respond to network emergencies to provide site presence, leadership, or assistance where required and carry out incident investigation.
* Participate in a standby rota.
About you:
* EngTech membership with a Professional Engineering Institution within 6 months of commencement.
* Full UK Driving license.
* Experience of undertaking complex asset-related surveys, including multi-occupancy buildings.
* Team player with a proactive approach to your work.
* Excellent communicator both written and verbally.

* Salary of £47,050 - £55,369, depending on demonstrable knowledge, skills, and experience.
