Reporting into the Site Head of Technical, this position focuses on teamwork & providing technical leadership for Sofina Foods Malton. The successful candidate will lead the Primary Technical team while offering strategic guidance to the Primary Operational team on-site. The role requires leading & Managing a Technical team, implementing, and managing robust systems and processes to ensure product manufacturing aligns with legal and customer food safety and quality requirements. Leading customer and regulatory audits with aspirational results. This role is based onsite in Malton 5 days a week, with a salary of £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience Collaboratively develop and implement strategic plans within the Primary Technical function to uphold and advance food safety and quality standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and external agencies, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Become a key member of the management team. Ensure technical systems are resilient and adaptable to support business growth while achieving industry-leading benchmarks. Maintain audit readiness for customers and regulatory authorities at all times. Develop and implement monitoring and auditing systems to ensure due diligence and compliance with legal and company standards. Verify supplier and product specifications meet customer requirements through efficient communication and training initiatives. Champion the Skills Management System to support quality feedback loops and standard enhancements. Lead programs to develop quality-related competencies across management and operational teams. Direct root cause analyses and implement preventive measures to address quality issues effectively.
