Outline of the role & Project As our Senior QS working for the Strategic Pipeline Alliance in Peterborough you will manage a team of multi-discipline contractors, multi-disciplined supply chain and encourage collaboration and innovation to be industry leading in commercial management. This is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the UK and it will be achieved by the engineering, integration and assembly of a series of interconnected pipelines which will enable Anglian Water to move water from areas with surplus water, to areas which are in deficit, making the east of England resilient to drought and securing water supplies for future generations. What You’ll Do As our new SQS, you’ll: Act as the commercial conscience of your projects, ensuring they’re delivered under budget to boost gainshare. Collaborate with procurement teams to follow the Anglian Water Procurement Policy and implement best practices. Provide commercial support and training for delivery teams, covering areas like risk management, contract management, and change control. Manage subcontract accounts from initial drafting to payment and finalization. Lead value management efforts, including cost forecasting and earned value analysis, to ensure efficient project delivery. Drive supply chain negotiations and contract drafting alongside procurement teams. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a motivated leader with: Extensive experience delivering large-scale civil, mechanical, and infrastructure projects. A proactive approach to digital innovation and continuous improvement in commercial management. Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge scope and accountability. Leadership skills to inspire, develop, and support a regional commercial team. Expertise in forecasting, cost management, and change control processes.
