Teaching Personnel are working closely with a secondary school in Portsmouth who are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Practitioner of Mathematics to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead on improving teaching and learning within the Mathematics department. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies, ensuring outstanding outcomes for students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coach and mentor teachers to develop their teaching skills and confidence.
2. Model outstanding classroom practice and share best teaching strategies.
3. Lead the development of engaging and effective teaching methods.
4. Use data to identify areas for intervention and drive student progress.
5. Create and oversee enrichment opportunities, including clubs and competitions.
6. Collaborate with senior leaders to shape the long-term vision for the department.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
