Axonas is operating in exclusive partnership with a Series A Software Start-Up who are continuing to experience significant growth in revenue (£5m ARR) and are looking to hire a Director of Marketing to make a direct revenue impact in a fast-paced company with some big ambitions of doubling their numbers within the next few years.
The company is revolutionising the world of Employee Engagement Software through their AI-driven platform which helps Enterprises make data-driven people decisions and manage change effectively through real-time feedback and employee wellbeing insights. They have some very exciting plans ahead and are looking for someone who wants to be at the forefront of how they approach reaching their next milestones of growth.
This person will be given a high degree of autonomy to shape marketing strategy and execution whilst working closely with the founders, board and investors as well as the wider team. This role suits someone who thrives in a scaling company and brings the experience of working in a similar stage business and the appetite to lead from the front with Marketing strategy and execution.
Role – Director of Marketing
Location – Milton Keynes (able to travel to our office 2 Days a week)
Salary - £100k basic + Bonus
Responsibilities:
* Taking full ownership of Marketing Strategy and Execution whilst working closely with our high performing sales team.
* Responsible for optimising bottom-of-funnel conversion rates to drive revenue impact.
* Oversee the redesign of the company website to improve user experience and lead conversion.
* Implement and refine nurture programs to improve MQL-to-SQL conversion.
* Manage a small marketing team and work closely with the Sales organisation.
* Define success through clear revenue and pipeline growth metrics.
* Align marketing and sales on lead qualification, ensuring seamless handovers.
* Drive clear ROI from marketing spend, improving pipeline contribution.
* Liaise closely with the board and wider exec team to drive collaboration and alignment against central vision of growth.
Experience Needed:
* Proven experience working in a B2B Software Company as a Marketing leader.
* Experience managing a marketing budget of circa £2m.
* Experience working for a growing start-up (circa £5m ARR) where you've impacted positive growth trends.
* Revenue oriented focus - ensuring success in marketing is linked directly to revenue growth.
* Ability to define success based on tangible progress.
* Start-up mentality - you thrive in a "scrappy" environment where you love rolling your sleeves up!
* Experience working in a company with minimum $20k-$40k TCV but ideally more.
* Ability to build strong relationships with Executive teams and investors.
* Experience prioritising projects in order of true impact to revenue and business growth - you understand what is going to drive impact fastest and aren't afraid to execute quickly.
* Experience working with HR related technology would be a plus but not a must-have.
