Job Description
Position: Global Account Manager
As a Global Account Manager, you will be responsible for planning and implementing sales to specific existing major accounts, where growing relationships, identifying opportunities, and account management skills are critical. Accounts are top priorities, often with multiple buying locations internationally, making broad client relationship skills essential.
Based in Milton Keynes under a hybrid working model, you will report to the Director of Global Accounts.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Promote business growth through extended teams, balancing efforts across multiple customer levels within the Global Account, collaborating with Field Sales Management to leverage the extended geographic sales team.
2. Develop trust-based, mutually beneficial relationships with principal customer sponsors, formalize account relationship expectations, and strategize to maximize customer share across all regions.
3. Ensure the Global Account has access to all Rockwell Automation resources by establishing excellent relationships with product departments, sales management, and senior management.
4. Participate in the Global Account's manufacturing and planning teams to provide early input and recommend strategies to benefit the account.
5. Identify new growth opportunities in products and services for mutual benefit.
6. Coordinate and communicate the annual plan for the Global Account with worldwide sales/support offices and throughout Rockwell Automation.
7. Work to expand Rockwell Automation's global presence and deliver across geographic boundaries.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
* Ability to travel 25-50% of the time
* At least 8 years of corporate account management/global sales experience
* Domain knowledge in Oil & Gas, Power, Chemicals sectors
* Experience coordinating global resources (local teams, departments)
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
* Experience selling to senior management/executive levels, demonstrating tangible economic value
* Global sales experience
* Automation experience, including Industry 4.0, IoT, VFDs, motor control, power applications, drive systems
* Ability to work with all levels of manufacturing enterprises—CxO, operations, technical, OEMs
