Duties and Responsibilities: The Toolroom technician will carry out servicing and repairs to the required standard and within set timeframes, ensuring tools are available for production as scheduled. Perform minor tooling repairs and modifications to ancillary parts as needed. Liaise with external contractors for external refurbishments and repairs. Complete and maintain detailed tooling records documenting all servicing and repair work carried out. Ensure the work area is maintained in a safe and clean condition, adhering to site BRC and 6S standards, and remain mindful of Health & Safety requirements. Work effectively both as part of a team and independently, using initiative in both planned maintenance and emergency breakdown situations. The post holder may be required to perform other duties as necessary, with the nature and scope of these duties evolving without altering the overall level of responsibility. Job Specific Competencies: High standard of workmanship, with a keen eye for detail and tool cleanliness. A sound understanding of assembly and disassembly of precision parts. Familiarity with proper torque settings for bolts and similar components. Competency in using Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel, for documentation and communication. Academic/Professional Qualifications (or equivalent): City & Guilds Level 2 in Engineering (or equivalent). Experience in a machine shop environment is essential.
