Build and maintain trusting relationships with community members, local organisations, and stakeholders. Develop understanding and cultural awareness of communities, and the barriers they face to accessing healthcare. In collaboration with the project team, identify and reach out to underrepresented and marginalised individuals and groups, to encourage their participation in co-production activities. Facilitate open, inclusive conversations and workshops to understand community needs, ideas, and perspectives. Empower community members by providing them with the knowledge, tools, and opportunities to actively participate in the co-design process. Design and deliver community workshops, focus groups, and forums that enable collaborative decision-making and co-design. Work with community members to co-design resources, materials, events, and initiatives to overcome barriers to accessing healthcare and raise awareness of cancer screening, bespoke to each group and their needs. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop co-designed resources and plan activities and events. Attend and co-facilitate awareness-raising activities and events with community leaders. Engage with community leaders, health champions, and health inequalities champions to maximise the potential for success and build community resilience beyond the project duration. Collect feedback from community activities, document all events, and share insights across teams to report on outcomes and drive continuous improvement. Report to the multi-agency steering group to regularly update stakeholders and the wider community on project progress, outcomes, and co-design activities.
