How you'll make a difference
Working with leaders across the Adult Community Learning and Skills team, you will make a difference by maximising the positive impact of the service on the lives of people and communities across South Gloucestershire.
Your work will be at the heart of the service. You’ll work across the team in community learning, adult skills and employability to maintain systems and processes to improve our services.
What you will be doing
* As the first point of contact for the public, you will provide administrative support to the team, helping to ensure the service continues to run effectively for the local community.
* It will be key for you to accurately record and maintain records including financial data.
* You will liaise with partner organisations, internal teams, and funders to ensure our employability programmes are successful.
* You will contact participants and referrers directly to determine eligibility and to gather feedback to help improve the service.
What we need from you
* It is essential that you have a minimum of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C/level 4 or above or relevant qualification at level NVQ2 or above or relevant experience in an administrative role.
* You must have prior administrative experience including data management.
* Strong communication skills and experience of providing advice and guidance is required.

* This is a limited term contract, ending 31st March 2026.
* We are also offering this as an internal secondment opportunity; you should first seek your line manager's permission before applying.
* Please note that due to the nature of this role it is a requirement of employment that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is obtained for this post.
Interviews are currently scheduled for the 8th and 9th of April.
