Key Technical Requirements for the Analog Layout Engineer include:
1. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Microelectronics or Electrical Engineering.
2. Expertise in layout of high speed/frequency circuits including amplifiers, phase-lock loops, oscillators, etc., and other building blocks such as buffers, regulators, and biasing.
3. Experience in custom analog layout of circuits and blocks for multi-Gigabit serial data-link transceivers.
4. Knowledge of modern semiconductor process technologies including 16nm, 7nm, and 5nm.
5. Using EDA tools for design and verification such as Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre/HSpice, DRC/LVS.
6. An understanding of parasitic extraction and modelling, electromigration, IR drop, and ESD requirements.
