Job Title: Revenue Assistant (12 month fixed contract)
Location: Bolton
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum
Hours: 9-5 Monday-Friday
Job Purpose:
To support the Revenue and Accounts Receivable team, the Revenue Assistant will work closely with the Revenue Accountants, Invoicing Manager and Credit Control Manager, getting involved in the multiple tasks each team is responsible for. A great opportunity to gain exposure across some of the crucial departments in finance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Raising high volume of invoices, checking for accuracy and ensuring they are free from error.
* Dealing with a high volume of invoice queries, maintain responses and proactively updating the system with the outcome.
* Work closely with customers to undertake effective collection and obtain earliest possible settlement of accounts to maintain cash-flow;
* Liaise with internal departments, to resolve queries and manage through to resolution
* Perform monthly accounts reconciliations
* Monitoring the financial progress of placements, investigating variances and ensuring billing is up to date on the accounts
* Build and Maintain relationships with internal and external customers
Standard responsibilities:

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
Essential
* Experience of managing a high volume of emails
* Experience in finance is preferrable
* Highly numerate and accurate with handling financial data.
* MS Office, including Excel to a good level (Pivot Tables, Vlookup essential)
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Mathematics and English
* Professional demeanour, positive and flexible attitude, good inter- personal and communication skills and accuracy.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Be able to work alone and tackle tasks proactively.
* Show good initiative and take ownership of tasks or issues.
