We are now looking to recruit a Design Lead for Mylo – Mylo is the permanent cross-functional customer value stream who will own targets to maximise the value of our existing customer base. As the Design Lead for Mylo, you will be a key player-manager, blending strategic leadership with hands-on design work. Your primary focus will be on shaping the direction of Mylo’s digital product design to ensure optimum functionality, visual appeal, and that solves user problems/needs. Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: Articulate and execute a design vision that aligns with Mylo’s strategic goals to support Aegon in delivering its strategic plan. Leading a multi-dimensional design squad of 8-10 members across 4 design disciplines. Task manage the design squad and coach the team leveraging external experience all fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Oversee the day-to-day activities, facilitating sprint planning and execution and owning efficient resource allocation and high-quality delivery. Driving data-driven and commercially focused design initiatives. Ensuring alignment with Mylo’s brand identity. Create and present overarching design strategies for Mylo, spanning all dimensions of design, working with the relevant specialist areas (UX, Service Design, Research and content related to the digital product). Directly impact customer experiences and commercial outcomes. Your work will significantly influence customer experiences and commercial success, requiring a deep understanding of complex problem spaces and a passion for creating delightful solutions. We are looking for someone to join the team who is enthusiastic about enhancing user experience, strengthening branding, and delivering customer value. We’d love to hear from you if you have: Proven experience in senior design roles with team leadership responsibilities. Strong grasp of various design processes and their appropriate applications, including iterative design (using wireframes or prototypes), journey mapping, design thinking, product design, scenario-based thinking, and maintaining an analytical mindset. Expertise in human centred design and design thinking with demonstrated experience in running design and discovery workshops with a diverse and senior audience. Creativity and ability to dream big and convert to executable designs. Commercial ability to analyse user behaviour and commercial outcomes and interpret these before creating meaningful enhancements to drive commercial value. Experience in Agile delivery and familiar with various frameworks (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe). Experience applying the VFD framework, ensuring viability, feasibility, and desirability The ability to take teams with you and influence positive outcomes across all levels, functions and channels What’s in it for you?
