Young Peoples Safeguarding Social Worker
Are you a social worker who is committed to making a difference to vulnerable young people’s lives?
Our Young People’s Safeguarding Team may just have the role for you!
Do you have a sound understanding of safeguarding risks outside the home and experience working with 12-18 year olds?
Are you experienced in working with risks of homelessness or care, children vulnerable to exploitation, and those who have experienced trauma that has impacted their physical and emotional wellbeing?
Is your safeguarding knowledge spot on, and do you understand young people's brain development and vulnerabilities?
Do you believe each young person is different, with their own story and experiences, and that each can achieve their full potential?
Oh, and not to forget, are you able to move at pace calmly and reflectively?
Are you nodding your head in agreement? Is your brain saying tick, tick, tick?
Exciting! We’re halfway there.
BUT enough about you! Who are we and where do you fit in?
Our team is part of an integrated service, closely aligned with the Youth Justice Service and exploitation service. Our social workers work alongside a variety of professionals, including police officers, health workers, psychologists, education workers, and substance misuse workers.
Our evidence-based approach is restorative and creates a shared language and culture, focusing on building relationships that support good outcomes for young people.
We are fortunate to have extensive support from senior management who truly want to see their team members progress and succeed.
You will be joining a team full of energy, curiosity, and a wealth of experience! We need you to come on board and share your knowledge and skills with us, and collectively we will continue our journey to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people within our local community!
We are reviewing applications daily, so please do not hesitate to apply!
