Area Sales – Machine Tools
Package: £40,000 - £50,000 + Uncapped Commission (Typical OTE £70K+)

My client is a leading provider of high-end CNC machinery and automation solutions, supplying precision engineering and manufacturing industries. Privately owned, they offer a flexible, customer-first approach, focusing on high-value, project-driven sales rather than price-driven competition. The successful area sales manager will earn uncapped commission representing a strong portfolio of high-quality machine tools and automation solutions. Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage relationships within a new business oriented role whilst nurturing key accounts within the area.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on high-value capital equipment sales.
* Provide consultative sales support, tailoring solutions to meet customers' technical and production needs.
* Manage the full sales process, from lead generation and qualification to negotiation and closing.
* Work closely with internal technical teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Cover a regional sales territory with manageable travel expectations and optional overnight stays.
Requirements:
* Proven sales experience in CNC machinery, automation, or machine tools.
* Strong technical understanding of precision engineering, manufacturing processes, or automation solutions.
* Excellent business development skills, with the ability to identify and convert opportunities.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently without the need for micromanagement.
* Ability to manage a consultative sales cycle, selling high-value, project-based solutions. AOV between £100,000 - £850,000.
* Based near Milton Keynes, Oxford, or surrounding areas, with flexibility for regional travel.
