Geography Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join our vibrant team. This role involves delivering high-quality education, fostering a supportive learning environment, and actively engaging in the wider school community.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Teaching:
o Plan and deliver effective lessons using a variety of teaching strategies to ensure all pupil groups can access the curriculum.
o Create high-quality resources and contribute to the department’s resource pool.
o Incorporate ICT into teaching to support learning and professional tasks.
o Uphold relevant regulatory frameworks in teaching activities.
* Learning:
o Monitor pupil progress using diverse strategies.
o Foster successful relationships with pupils, creating a supportive and positive learning environment.
o Engage in school-wide discussions and initiatives to enhance pupil learning.
* Assessment and Feedback:
o Employ a range of assessment methods to monitor and support pupil progress.
o Provide clear and constructive feedback to pupils and communicate effectively with parents.
o Utilize an understanding of Assessment for Learning (AfL) principles in all assessment activities.
* Professional Development:
o Participate in ongoing professional development within and beyond the school’s formal programs.
o Use self-evaluation to inform professional growth.
* Co-curricular Involvement:
o Actively participate in the wider life of the school, including pastoral duties as a tutor.
* Upholding School Values:
o Demonstrate the school’s values, including a commitment to kindness, in all professional activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience in delivering a curriculum accessible to diverse pupil groups including more able, SEND, and EAL pupils.
* Strong ICT skills for educational and professional use.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to professional development and school community involvement.
* You must hold the right to work in the UK for this post.
