Job Description:
Mental Health Assistant – Maidenhead – September Start
Have you got experience helping children who struggle with mental health? Are you a psychology graduate looking for your first step into mental health?
A lovely school in Maidenhead is looking for a Mental Health Assistant to join their team in September. They are looking for someone who is either a Psychology Graduate or has experience with ASD, ADHD, and SEN. In this role, you will be valued as a part of a vital team and will be supported throughout your time there.
The school is looking for a Mental Health Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with SEMH who is resilient and patient. They also have a role supporting a Year 6 pupil with ASD and ADHD who is part of a small group with complex needs.
Your role may include, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:
1. Supporting children’s behaviour for learning in the classroom.
2. Helping children with their understanding of the teacher’s instructions.
3. Working with individual learners in the classroom 1:1, or working with individuals or small groups in the Learning Support department.
4. Keeping track and recording pupil progress.
At this Primary School, you will be well supported and promote teamwork to develop the best structure for the students. This school truly believes in investing in their staff, and you will be challenged and supported throughout your time at this primary school.
