Reporting to the Production Manager, this role provides an excellent opportunity to join the long-established Bourne Group Ltd with a proven (75+ yr) track record in providing excellent solutions to the construction industry.
We are looking for an Assistant Production Coordinator to work within production, managing materials into the factory and subcontract suppliers. Your day-to-day activities will involve a variety of responsibilities that are critical to the efficient operation of the production processes. You will manage the flow of materials into the factory, expedite production timelines, and maintain accurate records to ensure full traceability and compliance with industry standards.
You will:
1. Analyse and gather data from the in-house system and create reports to track how well production is running.
2. Create check-off sheets and oversee material bookings in the in-house system, making sure everything meets required standards.
3. Accurately record steel delivery notes & material certificates from suppliers and add to relevant projects within the Company production control database to maintain material traceability.
4. Join production meetings to discuss progress, assign tasks, and update the planning board.
5. Monitor and order materials including requesting quotations from approved suppliers.
6. Promote the effective use of the in-house system and when competent, provide training to team members.
7. Assist in organizing and scheduling production tasks to meet deadlines and maintain quality.
8. Process and manage all drawings and specifications for in-house fabrication.
9. Issue fabrication packs to subcontract fabricators and painters.
10. Be a point of contact for subcontractor fabricators and the engineering team to resolve fabrication and drawing queries.
11. Manage health and safety paperwork.

4. Good computer literacy including word processing, producing spreadsheets in Excel and database input and report production skills.
5. Strong administration skills with an eye for detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
6. Ability to maintain and provide regular updates on a diverse range of tasks.
Training will be provided on the relevant in-house systems as required.
