We are currently recruiting for: Team leader
Work hours: 39 per week
Location of role: Lowton
The Role:
In consultation with the Registered Manager and the Deputy Managers, the Team
Leader will assist in managing the overall daily operations at Lime Grove Cottage
working with children and young people in a residential setting. The Team Leader will:
* provide direct line management to a small number of Childcare Workers.
* develop and implement care and risk plans based on individualised children's needs in partnership with referring authorities, therapeutic services, senior management and education settings.
* model best practice in terms of providing high quality care.
* be well versed in children's homes legislation, regulations and inspection framework, in order to support the safe and effective delivery of care.
The Successful Applicant:
* Level 3 Diploma for residential childcare (or equivalent)
* Experience of working with electronic care records and auditing processes within the care system
* Excellent administration and IT skills
* Excellent communication skills including first-rate literacy and numerical skills
* Knowledge of current child care legislation in specific relation to children in care
* Working knowledge of the Ofsted Inspection Framework for Children's Homes and Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015
* Level 4/level 5 QCF qualification in children and young people
* Substantial experience of working in a residential child care setting
* Has worked in an Ofsted graded Good/Outstanding provision.
Working Arrangement / Physical Requirements:
* A commitment and flexibility to work those rotas which meet the needs of the home as a whole
* Clean driving licence and ability to drive with young passengers - PCV Licence or holds a licence which allows operation of a minibus.
