You’ll be the first person to step into these shoes and shape this brand-new role based at our first site: Mad Swans in the Mendips. What there is to it The Reservations Manager will initially oversee Mad Swans in the Mendips and then new sites as and when they open. As this is a brand-new role for a new opening, the Reservations Manager will be instrumental in the setup and growth of the Reservations Department and Team as we open more sites in the future. The key duties and responsibilities of this role will include: Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Reservations Team & Department Delivering a high standard of guest service and ensuring all guests have a positive experience Ensuring the booking system is quick, simple and easy for our guests Managing table and cabin allocations efficiently, ensuring we maximise covers, occupancy and revenue Upselling activities, drinks packages and extra nights in cabins Actively promoting our loyalty membership scheme Ensuring the Reservations Team is fully trained up in terms of both product knowledge and also operating systems they will be required to use as part of their role Creating standard operating procedures and ensuring we follow these correctly Handling guest bookings, enquiries and any guest feedback Assisting with special requests and VIP bookings Assisting with guest visits and tours to view cabins and event spaces Check and monitor reservations on a daily basis to ensure we have all required guest information, including how the guest heard about us Overseeing and managing our booking and reservations systems ensuring all data and information is accurate and correct Monitoring and reporting on table, cabin and experience bookings on a regular basis Identifying any trends and patterns and provide any recommendations in terms of improving our guest experience, maximising revenue opportunities and driving efficiencies Working closely with the Marketing, Events and Operational Teams to ensure excellent communication and execution of bookings, events, parties and exclusive experiences Liaising with the Finance Team to ensure all payments are processed correctly and in a timely manner This is a full-time permanent position and will work any five days out of seven. The salary for this role is circa £35,000/annum. Location – this is an onsite role and will be located at Mad Swans in the Mendips, Marsh Lane, Farrington Gurney, Bristol, BS39 6TS. Working Hours – the working hours will generally be 9.00 am to 6.00 pm but may vary from time to time. Working Days – this role will work any five days out of seven and will involve working on weekends on a regular basis. Working hours will vary in line with the operating calendar and needs of the business. Who we’re looking for We are looking for a Reservations Manager who is: Experienced and has previous experience as a Reservations Manager Proficient in using Microsoft office and operating systems Knowledgeable in reservations systems and applications Passionate about delivering excellent guest service Focussed on the guest experience and journey An excellent communicator Strong organisational skills and able to multi-task Confident, outgoing and well-presented Happy to be hands-on and assist with the day-to-day duties as part of a small team Self-driven and highly motivated Happy and able to work both independently and as part of a team Proactive, positive and resilient by nature Solutions driven Comfortable working in a very fast paced environment Please note, you must be eligible to work in the UK as we are unable to sponsor any work permits or visas.
