CDM Architect Specialist\n\nWe are looking for a proactive Principal Designer with expertise in CDM and Building Regulations to join a growing Architect support team. This role involves working both within an in-house design teams and alongside external consultants, ensuring compliance and best practices in construction projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n* Advise project teams, including clients, on Building Regulations and the Principal Designer's role under both CDM and Building Regulations.\n* Support and guide design teams to implement best practice standards and regulatory compliance.\n* Conduct site visits and produce detailed reports on CDM compliance.\n* Develop clear and concise guidance material on regulatory requirements.\n* Provide training to internal teams and external consultants.\n* Liaise with enforcing authorities where necessary.\n\nSkills and Experience Required:\n* Professional qualification in ARB, CIAT, or CIOB (APS membership is an advantage).\n* A minimum of three years' experience as a Principal Designer under CDM across various project sectors.\n* Strong understanding of the Building Safety Act, secondary legislation, and Building Regulations.\n* Experience in risk management and knowledge of the HRB gateway process is beneficial.\n* Strong communication, project management, and technical skills (MS Office, BIM).\n\nThis is a great opportunity to be part of a leading, design-driven architectural practice, contributing to safer and more compliant construction projects.
