Hampshire’s Library Service needs enthusiastic Library Team Assistants to join our busy and flexible teams. Your role will be to provide a welcoming environment for all, promote our services and facilities, plan and deliver fun and engaging activities for children and adults as this is a fundamental part of the role. You will work with partners to signpost customers where required and assist with the management of stock, as well as carrying out a wide range of administrative duties. The Role: You’ll be providing an excellent customer experience to everyone who visits our libraries and encouraging people to read a range of authors and book titles, download our apps for eMagazines and eBooks /eAudiobooks. You will take part in special promotions for adults and children, sign up for courses and events and using our IT facilities. Hours include Saturday working and school holidays You’ll have a good general education combined with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a good standard of IT skills. You will embrace flexible working and be able to use your own initiative when required. You will need to fulfil specific travel requirements which will be outlined at interview.
