Our client, an established international manufacturing organisation, has experienced rapid growth and as such has introduced a new shift within the manufacturing department. They have also expanded their operation to include another site based locally to their headquarters in Sussex. Job Role
Building electromechanical sub-assemblies, printed circuit boards, and final products, reading and interpreting bills of materials and drawings.
Duties
1. Cleaning and packing of products using COSHH substances with appropriate PPE provided.
2. Raising non-compliance, rework records, stores requisitions, and any build documentation changes when required.
3. Ensuring familiarisation with relevant elements of quality management including static handling precautions and workmanship standards.
4. Maintaining a high accuracy of stock control and stock levels as required, replenishing, and placing Kanban orders as necessary.
5. Maintaining and improving housekeeping and working practices.
6. Responsibility for adhering to the Company's Quality ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 Environmental Management system requirements and the Health and Safety Management System.
7. Working as part of a team to ensure departmental objectives are achieved and continuous improvement of product quality and processes, flowing products where possible to reduce waste (lean initiatives).
What you will need
1. Previous electromechanical assembly experience and soldering.
2. Understanding of mechanical assembly procedures and processes.
3. Appreciation of modern manufacturing techniques.
4. Good communication skills and a hands-on approach.
