Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the diabetes team at University Hospitals of LiverpoolNHS Foundation Trust based at The New Royal site. The Clinical Nurse Specialists are part of a larger multi-professional team of Diabetes and Endocrine Consultants, Dietitians, Podiatrists, Psychologist and Admin team. This full time band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist role in Diabetes will include community clinics, inpatient diabetes in-reach, and diabetes outpatient clinics. There will also be an opportunity to support some of the speciality clinics. This position is a fixed term contract or secondment to cover maternity leave. Main duties of the job You will provide care and self management plans to people with diabetes and also provide specialist diabetes management advice and support education to other healthcare professional colleagues, supporting events across the organisation around diabetes awareness and health and well being. You will also provide clinic cover for hospital and community clinics. Full support through a diabetes competency programme will be provided.
