Our client, a leading water sector specialist, is looking for Welder/Fabricators based out of Royston, Hertfordshire.
This is a full-time salary position, Monday - Friday, 40 hour standard week, although overtime can be offered.
Rate is dependent on skills/experience.
Job Outline
* Fabricating and maintaining components used in water treatment, distribution, and storage systems, ensuring compliance with industry norms.
* Including but not limited to: staircases, handrails, pipework, and balustrades.
* Using a range of fabrication tools and machinery.
* Ensuring all work is completed to top-quality standards and within deadlines.
* Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine work requirements.
* Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces.
* Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
* Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Candidate
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
* Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites if required.
* Familiarity with piping standards and specifications: In-depth understanding of industry-specific piping codes, standards, and regulations, ensuring all components meet required quality and safety standards.
* Proven experience in welding and fabrication: Strong knowledge of various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and the ability to fabricate metal parts to meet project requirements.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering and isometric drawings: Essential for accurately fabricating and assembling components based on detailed technical specifications.
* The ideal candidate will have City & Guilds, Apprenticeship, or NVQ equivalent in Fabrication/Welding or Mechanical Engineering.
* Candidates must have the right to work in the UK as sponsorship cannot be offered.
