The Maternity services run an excellent in-house training programme, including an advanced fetal monitoring workshop and intensive emergency skills drills workshop, soon to include community settings. Our Maternity Unit currently supports 5,000 births a year serving women living in the areas of Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley and Bexley divided amongst 8 Community Midwifery teams. We are looking for midwives who have successfully completed a preceptorship programme or have experience at band 6. Experience of community midwifery would be beneficial but not necessary as a full introduction to community midwifery will be provided by the trust and supported by the Community Matron, Team Leaders and the Practice development team. Main duties of the job We are seeking an experienced Band 6 midwife to join our community midwifery team. The post holder should be competent and confident at facilitating and supporting normality in childbirth as this role supports our 24/7 homebirth service.
