We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full range of cost-related activities in building and civil engineering projects, ensuring that all projects are completed within budget. This position offers a hybrid work environment, with a combination of site-based, office-based, and remote working.

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civils
Location:
Preston or Stafford
Salary:
Up to £60,000 + £6k Car Allowance + Company Benefits
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, update, and assess detailed cost estimates and project budgets.
* Oversee the complete commercial process from initial enquiry to final account closure.
* Deliver accurate and timely monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) to senior management.
* Implement effective cost control methods to ensure project profitability and cost efficiency.
* Manage contract documentation, including bills of quantities and scope of works.
* Negotiate terms and ensure compliance with all legal and company regulations.
* Ensure prompt payment applications and maintain accurate project cash flow forecasts.
* Respond efficiently and professionally to client queries and requests.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and intermediate quantity surveyors.
* Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is essential.
* Proven experience in quantity surveying or cost management, ideally within the Civil Engineering sector.
* Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and regulatory standards.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
* In-depth knowledge of NEC contracts and their application.
* Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
