W Talent are delighted to be supporting a leading FMCG manufacturer in West Leeds in their search for a part-time Purchasing Assistant. This opportunity allows you to work closely with an experienced team, supporting operational buying and administrative tasks for high-volume products and substances.

Key Responsibilities:
Process and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries
Manage and update purchasing records, data, and pricing
Source and assess potential new suppliers
Report and escalate supplier quality issues
Provide pricing for new requirements to sales
Resolve supplier inquiries, discrepancies, and account issues
Liaise with internal teams to overcome supply chain challenges
Ensure compliance with relevant manufacturing regulations
Prepare management reports as requiredThe Ideal Candidate:
Prior experience in purchasing is highly desirable, whether in a purchasing administrator or buyer role
Experience managing supplier performance and ensuring the best price, service, and quality is a plus
Experience in high-volume manufacturing is beneficial, but not essential
Comfortable with MRP systems and data analysisThis part-time role offers around 25 hours per week and is based on-site. This makes it ideal for someone in the local area who is looking for a later start and early finish while working for a fantastic business in which they can continue to progress their purchasing career.
