HARP, Southend’s leading homelessness charity, is looking for an Innovation Projects Coordinator to join our dynamic team. Working alongside our Innovation Project Lead, you’ll help bring to life an exciting range of projects, including a gallery and workshop space, a restaurant and kitchen, media retail, and a live performance stage.
What You’ll Do:
1. Assist in the development and coordination of creative and employment skills-based programmes.
2. Support the design and build of structures, furniture, and upcycled items for sale.
3. Manage tools, storage, PAT testing, and procurement of materials.
4. Play a key role in technical support and teaching lighting and projection for live performances and events.
5. Help plan and run recovery-focused creative workshops alongside operational teams.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers to support project delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
1. A practical and creative problem-solver with experience working with industry/trade tools and interpreting plans/drawings.
2. Someone with experience teaching or running workshops.
3. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage equipment, storage, and materials.
4. A genuine passion for supporting people on their journey to recovery through creative and skills-based projects.
5. A full, clean driving licence and PAT testing knowledge (or willingness to train).
6. An understanding of trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches when working with vulnerable people.
