Start Date: 01/09/2025
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative teacher to join our friendly, supportive and hard-working team from 1st September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent teaching post. The post is to teach in Key Stage 1 in the first instance, so experience in this key stage is essential. As a primary school, opportunities may arise to teach in other phases in the future.
We are a two-form entry primary school with a dedicated team of staff, committed to whole-school improvement. In the last two years, we have introduced our Challenge Curriculum and are proud of the progress we have made by using Leading Literature as a gateway to learning. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum and end of key stage 1 assessment expectations. The school teaches through Sounds Write, Talk for Writing, Talk for Reading and Can-Do Maths, so experience of these schemes is desirable but not essential as training will be provided to the successful candidate.
We have recently had an OFSTED inspection (Oct 2024) where we were graded as good in all areas.
We can offer:
1. Friendly, enthusiastic and well-motivated children;
2. High expectations of children's achievement and behaviour;
3. A dedicated staff team who are committed to supporting teachers new to school;
4. Experienced leadership and passionate staff within the KS1 team;
5. Opportunities for high quality and personalised continuous professional development;
6. Experienced mentoring for teachers new to the school;
7. A commitment to Restorative Practice.
We are looking for a teacher who:
1. Is talented and dedicated with recent experience of teaching in Key Stage 1;
2. Has high expectations and is committed to raising standards;
3. Is committed to school improvement, working flexibly and enthusiastically with school leaders to meet the needs of children across the school;
4. Shows dedication to the wider life of the school;
5. Demonstrates a commitment to working as part of a team with all staff;
6. Is an enthusiastic and imaginative individual who will create a stimulating and vibrant learning environment for our pupils;
7. Can manage and organise classroom support effectively;
8. Works effectively with other professionals and parents to support individual needs;
9. Can lead a subject area effectively;
