Are you a welder with MIG experience and able to weld and fabricate to a high level of accuracy?
I am working on behalf of a fantastic company near Ilkley, West Yorkshire, whose order book is very substantial and as such they are looking for several skilled MIG welders on days, earlies or late shifts.
Although these Mig Welder roles are permanent we will consider contractors (PAYE or Umbrella).

As a Mig Welder you will weld and fabricate bespoke assemblies mainly in mild steel plate ranging from 3mm - 10mm thick, following engineering drawings to tight tolerances
Role and Responsibilities of Mig Welders:
Inspection and preparation of picked parts to ensure quality to ensure they match work orders and drawings
Fabricate parts to ensure accuracy
Mig weld mild steel between 3mm and 10mm to high standards ensuring assemblies are true and to correct dimensions
To assess and inspect welding to ensure correct sizes, leg lengths are even, and it meets the drawing.
Using cutting equipment to cut material to size
As well as general fabricating and welding you will have training:
To operate the rolling and swaging machinery as required
To use hand tools to polish the steel grain back into the parts as per instruction on the works orders and fabrication operation.
To move the completed work to the next allocated area
To safely move parts, ensuring the appropriate lifting tools and operating the overhead crane.
The Mig Welders Qualifications/Experience
Plate Welder Apprenticeship Level 3, Level 3 NVQ Diploma Fabrication and Welding Engineering or equivalent.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Ability to use hand tools – training will be given where necessary.
Understanding of H&S policy, procedures and working safely.
Understanding of quality.
Understanding of welding symbols and processes.
We are looking for Mig welders who are looking for a long term role, or contractors who can commit to 6 month contract as a minimum. You will have a great work ethic and be someone who takes pride in their work.
