Role Overview:
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll be a key player in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. You'll work closely with the care team to meet residents' daily needs, oversee the development and implementation of care plans, and support and mentor fellow support workers. Your leadership and dedication will help maintain high standards of care and promote the independence and dignity of each resident.
Key Responsibilities:
* Daily Care: Collaborate with the care team to address and facilitate the daily needs of residents, ensuring their dignity and independence are maintained.
* Supervision: Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals for support workers, offering guidance and support.
* Care Planning: Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualized care plans.
* Mentoring: Coach and mentor support workers, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
* Leadership: Lead by example to uphold high standards of care, promoting the well-being and independence of residents.
Reporting To: Home Manager/Deputy Manager/Nurse
Requirements:
* Experience: Previous experience in a senior care role with strong leadership and communication skills.
* Skills: Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and create a supportive work environment.
* Empathy: A caring nature with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of others.
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent (or working towards).
