The role covers all Stores activities within the MRO, offering a first class efficient and effective logistics and stores. Ensuring the stores is run in a safe, secure, efficient, and effective manner. Responsible for ensuring required tooling and equipment are maintained and readily available for front line engineers in accordance with company procedures.
Accountability for all stores activity, including Health & Safety, security and efficient and effective use of the stores space.
Britten-Norman Aerospace Ltd is the Type Certificate holder and Original Equipment Manufacturer of the world-renowned Islander aircraft. Safety sits at the company’s core. The organisation is separated into various entities, based in the UK and overseas.
The MRO provides operational support to maintenance and modification of aircraft and components.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for ensuring stores staff are trained in, and have access to, all relevant company procedures, and that these are adhered to at all times.
* Ensure the bonded and quarantine store is maintained in accordance with relevant regulations and Company Procedures.
* Ensure control and receipting in of all parts into the bonded store, including inspection of incoming release paperwork in accordance with company procedures and CAA regulation.
* Ensure the stores area is tidy and maintained to a high standard in accordance with company procedures and CAA regulations.
* Ensure staff using the stores do not endanger themselves or others by the use of unsafe working practices.
* Carry out regular checks of shelf-life controlled parts in stock.
* Carry out regular checks of the store’s temperature monitoring.
* Control and maintain levels of consumable stock.
* Ensure all calibrations are carried out in accordance with company procedures and meets CAA regulation.
* Ensure all company tooling is controlled in accordance with company procedures.
* Ensure that calibration periods of calibrated tooling and equipment is not exceeded.
* Control the issue and return of specialist tooling.
* Carry out regular audits of the tool store, engineer toolboxes and central toolboxes.
* Supervise all stock control within the MRO.
* Carry out goods inward inspection of parts receipted into the stores.
* Ensure the bonded and quarantine store is maintained in accordance with CAA regulations and Company Procedures.
* Supervise regular stock checks against all items held in the stores.
* Pack items for shipment, contacting the courier/freight provider as appropriate.
* Carry out regular stock checks and audits of the stores.
* Pick parts to satisfy demands.
* Provide monthly calibration and tooling reports to the MRO management.
* Provide regular Quarantine audit reports to the MRO management team.
* Ensure all tooling and equipment is safe to use and not damaged.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* 5 GCSEs Grade C/4+ incl Maths / English
* Stock control
* Experience working in the aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, or similar industries.
* Ability to maintain accurate stock control records.
* Excellent command of English spelling and grammar
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
* Effective time and task management
* Full UK driving licence required.
* Ability to achieve a UK security clearance
