Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Health and Safety Manager to oversee the safety management of a major civil engineering project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all health and safety regulations are adhered to and that the well-being of all staff and stakeholders is maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with UK regulations and company standards. Conduct risk assessments and ensure that all identified risks are mitigated effectively. Provide advice and guidance to project teams on health and safety matters. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards. Investigate any incidents or accidents and produce reports with recommendations for corrective actions. Deliver health and safety training to staff and contractors. Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for senior management. Qualifications and Experience: NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety. Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager in the civil engineering sector. In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and leadership abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A proactive approach with a strong attention to detail.
