Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Contract: Ad-hoc basis
Salary: Starting at £100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Long-Term Teachers is proud to support an incredible, independent special needs school that delivers a creative curriculum to students across key stages 2 - 4. We are seeking to appoint a resilient, hard-working and experienced educator to provide essential support in the absence of their regular staff (i.e. during sickness or planned absences). You will be working weekdays, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
About you:
* School based experience (in primary or secondary)
* Good overall knowledge of the national curriculum
* Confident in teaching core subjects such as English and Maths
* SEMH experience is essential
* Full time availability (Monday - Friday)
* Patience, resilience, enthusiasm and flexibility
* Confident in leading classes and managing challenging behaviour
* Able to drive and have access to your own car
Responsibilities:
* Delivering whole class cover during the absence of the class teacher or during PPA cover
* Support the teacher in personalising the curriculum to allow the students to thrive
* Support the teacher with planning of future lessons
* Implement the schools policies and procedures, including safeguarding the students
* Establish and maintain and enjoyable and safe learning environment
* Engage students in their lessons and foster a love for learning
