This position is initially part-time, 3 days per week, to teach KS3 & KS4 pupils starting in April.
The school I am recruiting for is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science teacher. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team teaching a well-structured curriculum in a brand-new school. They teach students between the ages of 11-16 and are looking for a highly motivated teacher who can create and maintain a safe and nurturing environment for students. The successful candidate would be expected to deliver high-quality lessons whilst being engaging and supportive.
This school is based close to Leicester city centre and is accessible by public transport. The school is looking for subject enthusiasts and experts ready to take pupils on an exciting journey through their subject. In return, the school believes staff well-being is a priority with constant vigilance around workloads.
Responsibilities:
1. Teach Science to KS3 & KS4 level.
2. Have a detailed knowledge of the curriculum.
3. Have high standards of communication and the ability to work as a team.
4. Assess, mark and plan lessons.
5. Assess achievements of pupils.
6. Provide progress reports and attend parent's evenings & department meetings.
