Role purpose: The Projects & Programmes team within Vodafone Business Technology Solutions deliver services and solutions to our Enterprise customers. The PMO Planner role will be aligned to a large complex customer-facing project or programme. The role will be operating across an entire portfolio or business/function area where multiple programmes and projects are being delivered. The role will be dedicated to planning and monitoring multiple Projects /Programme from beginning to end. Tasked with creating detailed project plans and ensuring that project teams align to the activities in the plan to deliver projects on schedule and within budget through the lifecycle of the project. The planner will offer insight through reporting identification of potential risks that can delay or increase cost and work with the teams to take remedial action. Key accountabilities and decision ownership: Quality Management Methodology & Governance: · Working as a key member of the PMO/ Programme/Project team to develop and maintain integrated project programme plans · Outlining scope, including start and delivery dates. · Plans, defines, and creates WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) into deliverables. · Mapping out costs and revenue milestones, time schedules, Planning & Resource Management: · Working with teams and stakeholders on resource allocation and work scheduling. · Ensure the plans are resourced and budgeted to complete each stage to schedule. Stakeholders & Communication: · Establishes close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. · Provides project data to teams to help them work more effectively identifying and communicating changes in the project plan to stakeholders. · Provides reports on deviations to the original project plan that can lead to delays and budget overruns. Risk Management: · Proactively manages the risk management plan and any key or strategic risks likely to impact the project scope, budget, timeline, revenue, or other factors detrimental to the delivery of the project and realisation, offers solutions to prevent them. Change Management: · Supporting project changes that have wider implications (across multiple projects, programmes, and portfolios). Identify the impact of project/programme changes across overall critical path. Requirements Key performance indicators: · Time, Cost & Quality –. The primary duty of the project planner is to create detailed project plans and ensure that teams follow the activities outlined in the plans to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. · The Planner will evidence effectiveness reports on deviations to the original project plan that can lead to serious delays and budget overruns · Ensuring delivery of programme/projects against agreed Vodafone and Customer Operational Acceptance testing procedures, maintaining customer satisfaction. Core competencies, knowledge, and experience: · Proven planning experience defining scope, · Extensive planning experience using Microsoft Project · Experience in a similar role within the Telco or IT industry desirable · Highly organised with an acute attention to detail · Experience working in a customer-facing environment · A problem solver, ability to identify root causes and make decisions and implement Essential Technical / Professional Qualifications: · MS Project (Advanced). Excel (Intermediate). · A recognised qualification or certification in PMO / Assurance (P3O, ISEB) · PRINCE2 or certification achieved in recognised project management methodology · Demonstrable experience of planning and tracking complex projects and programmes to meet business expectations and deliver results. · Exceptional organisational and communication skills, along with the personal tenacity and the ability to drive through to conclusion in a dynamic and challenging environment. · Strong organisational skills and time management · Strong cross-functional working capabilities · Excellent reporting and analytical skills. · UK National as a minimum and visa to work in the UK. Desirable · Powerbi experience advantageous. Budget Responsibilities: T he Project Planner role will not have budget ownership but they will be expected to develop and maintain financial controls for projects or programmes.
