Lab Technologist - clothing / PPE required to join a busy lab specialising in testing a range of special purpose products relating to Personal Protective Equipment. The position will be based at the company’s head offices in Kettering, Northants but is expected to include occasional overseas travel. The department consists of a number of accredited laboratories housing a range of equipment and machines used to test the physical properties of PPE against international and European standards. Results from the tests are then reported to customers and used for their product development or to apply for CE or UKCA certification. The Technologist will be required to carry out the following: Read, learn and understand international standards for testing PPE Book in tests and provide instructions to Technicians for testing Write electronic reports and communicate results to customers Answer customer enquiries, technical questions, provide quotations and support Provide training and support to Technicians Participate in customer visits both on and off site in the UK and overseas Occasional involvement with seminars and webinars and visits to trade fairs Full training will be provided for all aspects of the role where required.
