The Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored support to children with severe learning difficulties and SEMH needs.
Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and academic abilities.
Contribute to creating a positive and enriching school experience for all learners.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual with:
Experience working with children with SEMH needs and/or severe learning difficulties.
A genuine passion for supporting the development of young learners.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to remain patient, empathetic, and adaptable in challenging situations.
A willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.Desirable Qualifications:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Previous experience in an SEN school or similar environment.
Knowledge of strategies to support children with SEMH and special educational needs.
