Job Title: HSEQ Engineer Location: Scarborough, UK Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Staff Power is recruiting on behalf of our client based in Scarborough for a highly motivated HSEQ Engineer to join their team. If you have a passion for safety, quality, and environmental management, and have experience in a QHSE role, we want to hear from you As the HSEQ Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the company's operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations. You will oversee a range of activities, from managing safety audits and conducting risk assessments to maintaining the company’s health, safety, environmental, and quality systems. Key Responsibilities: Manage the HSEQ of company operations to ensure safety and efficiency. Oversee inspections, maintenance, and repair of machinery, tools, ladders, and lifting equipment. Monitor and audit compliance with procedures and quality standards, offering training and development to colleagues as needed. Conduct internal quality and safety audits. Proactively identify, minimize, and mitigate risks to people, property, and the environment. Perform risk assessments. Ensure high HSEQ standards for all activities, in line with the company’s operational procedures. Carry out offshore risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations. Prepare and maintain risk assessments, method statements, and SOPs. Support waste management activities to reduce environmental impact. Maintain the company’s quality, health and safety, and environmental systems. Desired Experience & Qualifications: A diploma, degree, or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety (candidates working towards a qualification will also be considered). At least 3 years’ experience in a QHSE role (offshore wind/gas/oil sector experience ). Understanding of offshore regulations and experience with offshore risk assessments and incident investigations. Knowledge of Permit to Work systems, offshore work activities, lifting operations, confined spaces, and bunkering. Familiarity with vessel ISM compliance and SMS. NEBOSH General Certification. Certified Internal Auditor and experience with other Occupational Health and Safety systems. What We Offer: Competitive base salary of £32,000 – £40,000 per annum (DOE).
