Job Title: Drainage Manager
Rate: Approx. £275 per day (Umbrella)
Duration: 3-Month Rolling Contract (Potential Extension)
Location: Hybrid (2 Days Home Working, Site Visits Required)
Job Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced Drainage Manager to lead the development and delivery of proactive and cyclical drainage programmes. You will oversee a small team, manage drainage issues, and work closely with various departments to ensure effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage drainage programmes to maintain highway resilience.
* Lead and support a team of three technical officers, driving high performance.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve drainage challenges.
* Provide timely and professional responses to member and public inquiries.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and continuous performance improvements.
Essential Criteria:
* Proven experience in highways drainage management.
* Strong leadership skills and team management experience.
* Excellent understanding of drainage systems, highways infrastructure, and relevant legislation.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable Criteria:
* Qualification in civil engineering or related field.
* Experience in local government or public sector.
* Familiarity with asset management systems.
