Teaching Personnel are currently looking to work on behalf of Food Technology Teachers within South Birmingham to work at our Ofsted rated 'good' partnered Secondary Schools. The ideal candidate will have ample experience of working within UK Secondary Schools and have a vast knowledge of the Food Technology Curriculum with the ability to teach KS3 - KS5 if needed.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Plan, mark and teach Food Technology lessons up to KS5.
* Support other members of staff within the department when needed.
* Teach practical lessons alongside theory lessons.
* Ensure that students understand and adhere to food safety standards, including hygiene, safe handling, and storage of food.
* Maintain a safe working environment in the kitchen and classroom by enforcing health and safety guidelines.
* Adapt lessons to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, including students with special educational needs (SEN).
* Ensure that kitchen tools, equipment, and ingredients are well-maintained and available for practical lessons.
* Lead extra-curricular activities such as cooking clubs, school catering projects, or food competitions to inspire and engage students outside the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
