Department Overview Our dedicated Building Surveying Team at RLB proactively manage and undertake surveys, formulate designs and specifications, administrate projects and programmes plus various other bespoke services to ensure our clients estate remains well maintained and achieves its full potential. We additionally provide extensive commercial services which include Dilapidations, Lease Advice and Pre-acquisition surveys. Surveyors work in close contact with the client, advising them on legal and financial matters that arise during the project. Overview Of Role We are currently recruiting a Building Surveyor to join a client focused team within our Belfast office. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated candidate to join and strengthen our team, providing all core surveying services on a number of interesting areas of property Key Responsibilities To ensure business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances To carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures Comply with established procurement/commercial/contractual strategies To comply with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards Professional Skills Project Management Contract Administrator & Employer’s Agent Design & specification writing Pre-acquisition surveys Quadrennial surveys on listed buildings PPM and asset condition schedules Quality& Technical Monitoring Bank/Fund Monitoring Defects Diagnosis Dilapidations Measured Surveys Party Wall Awards Principal Designer Person Specification The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role, and will be delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results. Degree qualified in Building Surveying or similar technical discipline CDM / Health & Safety exposure Strong technical delivery experience MRICS or membership of other relevant professional body Ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner Excellent specification writing skills Good knowledge of JCT Contracts Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery Previously employed by a consultancy Experience working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines RLB will provide you with a flexible, friendly and creative environment in one of our UK offices to develop your skills and challenge yourself.
