The Role:
Salary: 30,000 to 55,000 negotiable after 12 months depending on performance.
Location: Leatherhead, Surrey, Free on-site parking.
Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week), but would consider 30 hours per week and/or non-standard office hours.
Start Date: ASAP.

Qualifications and Credentials:
Be a qualified solicitor (or possess an equivalent qualification) with a current practising certificate.
Hold strong academic credentials indicative of a first-rate legal education.

Exhibit excellent client-handling skills, with the ability to manage diverse client expectations effectively.

Post-Qualification Experience (PQE):
Senior Property Solicitor: Extensive technical expertise and at least 20 years of practical experience in property law.
Property Solicitor: Strong technical knowledge and a minimum of 6 years of practical experience in property law.
Job Description:
As a Residential or Commercial Conveyancing Solicitor, you will be responsible for:
* Providing Expert Legal Services: Delivering high-quality legal advice, conducting thorough legal research, and overseeing fee-earning work delegated to colleagues. This includes updating clients on costs, maintaining accurate time records, and managing the life cycle of client matters, from initiation to resolution. (70% of time)
* Client and Business Development: Responding to client inquiries, preparing accurate estimates, and actively following up on leads to secure new business opportunities. (10% of time)
* Building Professional Relationships: Enhancing the firm's reputation by networking and fostering relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Addressing client feedback and complaints while aligning with the strategic goals of the practice. (10% of time)
* Training and Continuous Development: Mentoring and training staff members, participating in personal development and training activities, and updating legal precedents to maintain best practices. (10% of time)
Experience:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in residential and commercial conveyancing, as well as mortgage transactions, with proficiency in the following areas:
* Leasehold Matters: Including enfranchisement and lease extensions.
* Property Sales: Handling residential sales of freehold reversions.
* Shared Ownership and Loans: Experience with shared ownership schemes, home equity loans, and bridging finance.
* Legal Agreements: Drafting and reviewing declarations of trust and loan agreements.
* Equity Release: Proficiency in home equity release and lifetime mortgage products.
* Development Projects: Managing complex development matters, including options, overage and claw back agreements, and statutory agreements related to planning.
* Commercial Leasing: Expertise in commercial leases, including renewals, terminations, assignments, and surrenders.
* Unregistered Land: Handling transactions involving unregistered properties.
* Adverse Possession: Acquisition of land through adverse possession.
* Investment Properties: Facilitating residential lettings and the sale or purchase of investment properties.
* Newbuild Transactions: Comprehensive knowledge of newbuild conveyancing processes.
